Two Pyrenean Shepherd sites are quite interesting; one has historical story including reference to Pyr contribution to the Aussie with dogs that came to the US in the 19th century with flocks of sheep from the Pyrenees Mountains. This would fit in with the Basque sheepherders in our country having the blue dogs. (Basques did not herd sheep in Australia). Pictures a "poor" Pyr specimen that surely looks like an old fashioned Aussie. Check out the smooth faced Pyr's. These sites have history. Pyrenean Shepherds A French site
